Founder and Principal Attorney

Sagar Sharma is the Founder and Principal Attorney of Sagsharma.

Described by clients and colleagues as a “Swiss Army knife” when it comes to his legal capabilities, Sharma has developed his practice in the corporate, business, and startup sector, advising small businesses and multi-million dollar, venture-backed startups, alike, on various legal matters, ranging from negotiating major commercial contracts to business acquisition and beyond.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Sagar Sharma attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where he graduated with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science with a double minor in Biology and Business Law. He then attended the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill where he received his Juris Doctor.

Sharma now resides in Manhattan, New York.

When he is not practicing law, Sharma is an avid traveler and food enthusiast. He is also a marathon runner and can often be found running along Manhattan’s West Side Highway.

Caitlin Hannibal is an accomplished sports, entertainment, and commercial attorney with over 10+ years of experience, advising athletes, sports and media companies, and founders on business and brand matters.

Her experience includes over three years as an associate at Am Law 100 firms Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliff LLP and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and more than five years in-house at iN DEMAND structuring deals connected to the NBA, MLB, NHL, WWE, AEW and professional boxing.

Her work has spanned a vast array of legal matters including, but not limited to, entity formation, corporate governance, Regulation D private placements, trademarks, and talent representation.

Caitlin is a former world-ranked professional boxer.

Kevin Abruzzese, Esq.

Kevin Abruzzese is an accomplished litigation and trial attorney with over 20+ years of legal experience representing individuals in complex business and civil litigation matters.

A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology, Mr. Abruzzese earned his bachelor’s degree in 1996 while competing as a four-year member of the university’s Division I baseball team. The discipline, resilience, and competitive drive that defined his athletic career continues to shape his approach to legal advocacy.

Abruzzese later earned his Juris Doctor from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Abruzzese spent years working alongside experienced litigators as a paralegal, where he developed a comprehensive understanding of every stage of the litigation process.

    Tabber Benedict, Esq. serves as Senior Corporate and M&A Of Counsel in Sagsharma’s Corporate and M&A practice groups, advising on “main street,” micro, and larger mergers and acquisitions, as well as other corporate transactions.

    Formerly at White & Case and McDermott Will & Schulte (pre-merger), Mr. Benedict brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Sagsharma from over twelve years working on some of the most complex transactions in this world, including for clients like Cerberus, Fortress, Apollo, and Chubb (formerly ACE, Ltd), valued at over $75-Billion USD, in the aggregate.

    Tabber Benedict is based in New York City, focusing on US domestic and international corporate transactions with clients from around the world for Sagsharma. He brings a business mindset, including a focus on integrating cutting-edge technologies, to the practice of law at Sagsharma.

    Adela Lami is an accomplished political scientist with a passion for public policy, advocacy, and international affairs. Adela holds a Master’s Degree in Government from Harvard University and has advised on US Senate campaigns and in diplomatic/ electoral roles in both the United States and Albania. Adela serves as an Executive Assistant with Sagsharma where she ensures operational efficiency and manages prospective and current client relations.
